• VBS Just Around the Corner - Join us for an archeological expedition!  Children ages three through sixth grade are invited to Big Hurricane for Club VBS: Truth Trek where they will hear exciting Bible stories, create cool crafts, enjoy fun recreational games and theme snacks.  The trek begins July 16, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.  Check the events page for complete dates and times.
   
• Big Hurricane Gets Social - Social networking sites draw hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, most becoming members, and many from our own communities.  The networking features inherent to these sites provide an ideal outreach tool, and Facebook currently leads the pack.  So for those who would rather check the latest feed than check a website, check us out here on Facebook.
   
• Mission Team Returns  - Our missionaries returned safely from White Cloud, Michigan, and the trip went so much better than expected.  Renovations at Trinity Baptist Church exceeded expectations, and community outreach for Lighthouse Baptist Church generated dozens of new prospects for the fledgling church.  We sincerely appreciate the cooperation and participation of all involved, and we extend a special thanks to all of you who gave.  We couldn't have gone without your generosity.
   
• CMC Exceeds Expectations - The Pleasant Grove Baptist Association's Christian Ministries Center in Brookwood has exceeded our wildest expectations.  So much so, that the center now opens an extra day each week.  The CMC operates every Monday and Thursday, except holidays, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  We are so pleased to support the CMC and offer a loving and helping hand to those in need in our communities.  For more information, click here.
